  • Due to Boys & Girls Clubs of America‚Äôs guidelines we cannot consider an applicant for volunteer service if such individual: 1) is registered, or is required to be registered on a State or National sex offender registry, 2) has been convicted of a felony consisting of: murder, child abuse, a crime against children, spousal abuse, a crime involving rape or sexual assault, or physical assault, battery, and 3) has been convicted of a drug related offense committed within the last five years.

  • Volunteer Agreement

    The Volunteer grants permission to the Club to perform a background check. The Volunteer will also pay the $10 for the background check. This amount will be reimbursed after you have volunteered 30 hours. The Volunteer agrees to remain within the scope of the job description and/or assigned duties under the direction of the Club supervisor. The Director of Operations or Program Director must handle severe discipline problems. Any and all problems regardless of severity must be reported before days end. Volunteers are not to handle discipline problems of any kind. Inappropriate language or physical contact with a member is unacceptable and will result in immediate dismissal. No child is permitted to leave the Club with a Boys & Girls Club Staff or Volunteer unless it is a scheduled activity. Volunteers cannot work more than 3 days per week. Volunteers cannot be alone with a Club member at any time. No activities can be conducted outside the Club without the consent of the Unit Director or Program Development Director. Examples: fundraisers, transporting members, public relations work, overnights, field trips, etc. The Volunteer agrees to be on time for all training and shifts committed to. The Volunteer needs to meet with the Business Manager before starting volunteer service for the purpose of reviewing the volunteer agreement and further Club rules and policies.
